Fran May and Richard Newman
When Fran first met Richard Newman, he was working in a studio recording a third album of Blues songs. He wanted a female singer to represent his blues based work. They collaborated, Fran wrote lyrics, which are part of her current theme of songs representing older women who have experienced marriage, divorce, children and bereavement. Richard wrote the rest to Fran's storyboard for the album. This is why the title of the Album is 'Pink Blues'.
The sublime virtuoso blues guitar playing is Richard's genius.
The album is one of three planned albums, which express the range of women's emotions and experiences.
